In a new service update, EA says they're to stop supporting online play for games that are getting old. As of next month, four Wii games will no longer have Wi-Fi:
Can't expect these things to last forever I guess.

I think EA is trying to get a little greedy with sales by forcing consumers to buy the newest iteration of the product. I don't think I'd buy anything from EA that's destined to only have a 1-year shelf life for online play. That's pretty criminal if you ask me.

This is total bullshit, I was ranked number 9 overall, and played a lot of games to get the rank, but most of all, I really loved playing online in NBA Live 09 Wii. I will never forgive you for this EA, you just pissed off a lot of loyal fans, and I am one unhappy customer. I won't even touch the game anymore, there's no point in playing the CPU after you've experienced the fun of online play. Please bring it back, if not I will never support EA ever again.
