Turns 125 today
Happy Birthday, Nintendo! That's right: the legendary Japanese video game company turns 125 years old today. Not too bad for a company that is always thought to be doomed.
It would take hours for me to surmise the unique history of this company. From their days as a love hotel company (seriously, look it up), to their attempt at playing cards, to the creation of the Game & Watch, the rebirth of the gaming industry with the NES, to revolutionizing the handheld with the Game Boy, and the domination of the Wii.
Regardless of what people think of Nintendo today, there is no denying its place in gaming history. This age of gaming couldn't exist without Nintendo!
I just want to say happy birthday Nintendo, and thank you for being a big part of my childhood! I look forward to more great times!
So what are some of your favorite Nintendo memories? Let us know in the comments section.
