Publishers Oxygen issued a press release earlier on today announcing a new medical-themed game: Hysteria Hospital: Emergency Ward for Wii, DS and the PC.
Your career as a nurse (male or female) starts out in a local clinic, but you can progress through a variety of seven wards and end up in a general hospital. Patients come in with a number of funny ailments and it's your job to take care of them, using tools like x-rays, steam therapy and the de-stress machine. Oxygen's Jim Scott spoke:
"We have spent a lot of time researching what audiences want in a good casual game and we've incorporated these into Hysteria Hospital: Emergency Ward. Hysteria Hospital is funny, very frantic and is sure to entertain gamers of all ages".
Gamers of all ages! Can't go wrong. HH:EW is being discharged this April.

I'm not quite sure if I want to give this team the benefit of the doubt.

If they were "researching" on what gamers wanted in a casual game, why the hell didn't they make an adventure, fighting, or shooting video game.

Because the market is stuffed with those worn out genres. It's good what they are doing.
