Time Magazine has chosen Wii Sports as the "Best Game of 2006" for its ability to "put you right in the game" and showing off the power of the Wiimote.

Other games of note were New Super Mario Bros (#3), Zelda: Twilight Princess (#4) and Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (#9, available on Gamecube).
