Time to dust off the old cricket bat
If a recent listing on Amazon France is to be believed, ZombiU 2 could be shambling its way to the Wii U in October 2015. Though the posting was quickly removed, French site jeuxvideo was able to grab a few screenshots of the listing.
The strange thing fans of the first game have noticed is that Ubisoft, (who developed and published the first game), isn't mentioned on the listing. Instead, Bandai Namco is listed as the sequel's publisher. Which is odd, as there have been no reports of Ubisoft losing the rights to the IP.
It's very possible that there was a deal between the two publishers, considering Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said back in 2013 that the game would not get a sequel because the first installment did not come close to making a profit. Also if one is to take into account Ubisoft's stance on not releasing any more mature games on Wii U, it adds a bit more believability to the story.
However, until we hear anything official from either publisher(s) or Nintendo, this is nothing more than a rumor. It is important to note, Amazon France has a good track record of revealing games before they're announced (whether that is intentional or not is up for debate). So reader, do you think this sequel will become a reality? Do you even want another ZombiU? Let us know in the comments below.
